B.O.B. Discusses His ‘Adventures’ & His #1 Single – While Fighting The Munchies!

So I know we just interviewed the homie B.O.B. back in January but a LOT has happened for our hero between then and now. First off, his album got pushed up – yeah, UP not BACK – an entire month from it’s original release date of May 25th. Secondly, his lead single Nothin’ On You which features newcomer Bruno Mars has skyrocketed all the way to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. To accompany that success, he’s made appearances on The Ellen Show, MTV’s Spring Break, and BET’s Rip The Runway to name a few – and he doesn’t show signs of slowing down at all! Now how’s that for rookie-of-the-year?

I caught up with B.O.B. at a recent stop on the Steppin Lasers tour, which was an amazing show by the way. In this interview, our crusader donned his signature shades and fought off an apparent attack of the munchies (LOL) while discussing his new album The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which hits stores April 27th. <

I don’t think it’s sunk in yet because it happened so fast,” he says when asked about the success of his debut singleĀ Nothin’ On You. “As an artist you go through so much just to get to the point of even getting your song on the radio, and for it to just skyrocket to #1 its just… you know you gotta just soak it in…

Further along in our discussion he discusses one of the album’s highly anticipated and most buzzworthy collaborations, Airplanes Pt. 2 with Hayley Williams of Paramore and the lyrically adept Eminem. “Honestly, I didn’t know what was gonna come out. I think my main thing was just the fact that I got to work with him and kinda pick his brain“.

Could there be a Grammy nomination in his future? What does he predict for his own first week sales? Where will he be next? The answers to these questions and more are in the video interview below, so check it out!!

This is an incredible album, however for those individuals who limit their ears to greatness, this surely will fly over their heads. Gotta love the versatility, there’s a track that speaks to just about everybody, if they allow it.

Just like he said the entire album could be a single, he’s right. I’m definitely feeling the entire album, but, Past My Shades, Airplanes, Bet I, Magic, Fame, The Kids & The Kids stay in constant rotation!

Great interview…and dude most def had the munchies, lol..Seems like a real cool dude
