As announced yesterday, Rihanna is set to kick off her Last Girl On Earth tour this summer with party girl Ke$ha, but not without a new single to promote out on the tour. Rockstar 101 is a cut off her latest project Rated R (reviewed here) and though I think it’ll make a great song for a live show, I’m not quite sure how much radio appeal this will have. I like it but I definitely think there were stronger choices on Rated R. Anywho, here’s a video of her performance in an all-black sexy rocker catsuit, showing off every single curve. Only bad thing I’ll say is this: she needs to ditch the whole “faking the guitar” part of this routine. Along with the falsetto notes. Bad. Real bad. And NOT Michael Jackson bad.
I love Rihanna, but this sounded truely awful… She should’ve ditched that echo effect, her guitar player sounded bad, and the performance was just low energy. If you’re ever at a club, and this comes on, even though it’s a slow paced song, people get hype and start to get their grind on. This, this was just boring.
And a tour with two chicks that can’t sing worth shit live…GREAT!
