This song may be a lot of things but one thing it’s not is hot… Bobby V. grabs 50 Cent for ‘Altered Ego‘, the latest single from his upcoming album “Fly On The Wall” which is expected to be released first quarter of 2011. In the video, Bobby V. flashes back and forth between his “gentleman” side and his “thugged-out” side, easily distinguishable by the phony tattoos and the lack of shirt. It’s a typical hip-hop video… vixens everywhere, expensive cars, expensive clothes and some “sexy shots”. If music doesn’t work, he can always be Jeremih’s stunt double – for a minute there I got confused whose video I was watching.
‘Altered Ego’ plays on an age old concept that’s been kicked around in music for years but doesn’t really put anything different to it. 50′s verse is pretty lackluster and simple, and while I’m happy that Bobby V. has a different sound, it’s nothing that’s particularly memorable about it. Dude sounds as stale as month-old bread on the counter. I’ll pass on this one, but you can check out the video below…
This Bobby V and 50 Cent music video is really cool and one of the best hip hop music videos around at the moment. The rap song “Altered Ego” is hot too and the hook sung by Bobby V is infectious too.
