Chrisette Michele serves up the fashionable goodies in her new video for ‘I’m A Star‘, the first single from her forthcoming third album “Let Freedom Reign” set to hit stores and digital retail outlets on November 30. Sounds like Ne-yo produced this one, maybe wrote it too. Over the years, Chrisette has noticeably transitioned from her own unique sound and blended more with the classic glazed-over R&B sound – not that it’s a bad thing, but I’d hate to hear her become just another R&B starlet when her own soulful flavor offers so much more. The flashes in the video of Michele’s various Grammy nominations speak to how underrated she is as a true talent.
The album “Let Freedom Reign“, which drops in less than a month will feature guest appearances from Rick Ross, Black Thought, and Talib Kweli, with production from Ne-yo and Chuck Harmony. Here’s a full tracklisting:
