Kelis drops the video for her latest single, ‘Brave‘ from her newest album “Flesh Tone” which is in stores now. This song is actually quite inspiring, a story of the inner strength she pulled from her new role as a mother. The video looks like it was done in one take, similar to Janelle Monae’s ‘Cold War‘ released earlier this year. She’s usually so daring and different that its actually quite refreshing to see a more toned-down Kelis in this clip. Though we wish Kelis the best with motherhood and future musical genres, the “Flesh Tone” album was a letdown overall.
