DOWNLOAD: The Dream (Terius Nash) – 1977

Well here it is, the new 10-track free album from The Dream. I’d say it’s long-awaited but I’m not out of touch with reality. After his last album pretty much tanked, The Dream has regrouped and decided to give away some music before releasing his fourth album The Love IV: Diary of a Madman, expected later this year. I haven’t listened yet, in fact it’s still downloading as I write this but as you can probably tell, I’ll take my time. Starting with the cover, which is an obvious rip inspiration from Watch The Throne to his constant biting of Prince’s style, I’m not expecting much on here to change my opinion of The Dream. UPDATE: So here’s my verdict on this new Dream mixtape: it’s decent. 5 out of 10 songs are good, which says a lot for him. I just think lyrically it lacks creativity. Production is on point most of the way, but I can’t vibe with a bad lyric game. A lot of his lyrics sound recycled and stale.
