Mykal Star may be on the grind, but he’s no stranger to the music scene. This rising producer out of the Carolinas has already accumulated a wealth of experience that he brings to his music and he’s ready to introduce his new single Gone. Along the way, he’s worked with some major names in the business including mega producers Bryan Michael Cox, Polow Da Don, The Justice League, Chuck Harmony, Salaam Remi, Rodney Jerkins and Midi Mafia. Alongside his brother Rudy Currence (DTP/Def Jam), he’s worked as a co-producer and will be producing several tracks for Rudy’s upcoming major label debut Black Keys and Blue Skies.
Gone bears an unmistakable southern bounce type sound to it, fitting for the Carolinas-bred producer. That southern feel makes this beat something that can definitely blast in the ride all summer. Check out his new work and leave your feedback…
