Super Bowl XLVI will be kicked off by an American Idol once again this year as Kelly Clarkson will deliver the ‘Star Spangled Banner‘ to kick off the big game on February 5th in Indianapolis. Though she was the original winner of the show more than 10 years ago, Clarkson will be the 4th Idol to perform the song for the biggest US Sporting Event following up previous winners Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson and Carrie Underwood. Congrats to Kelly!
In case you missed it last weekend, Kelly Clarkson hit the stage on Saturday Night Live to promote her new album “Stronger” (click to read my review). Charles Barkley hosted and introduced the Texas native, who performed ‘Mr. Know It All‘, the lead single from her new album as well as the latest single ‘What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)‘ with full band in tow.
