Sultry young singer/songwriter Elle Varner is already making a name for herself in 2012 with the release of her new mixtape “Conversational Lush“. Prior to this release, I’d heard of Elle but never really checked out much of her work beyond her fun, light single with J. Cole ‘Only Wanna Give It To You‘ (video below). I find her sound to have a hint of Chrisette Michele and Jill Scott but younger, and fresher with a lighter vibe. This mixtape is where it’s at.
