Fresh off her double Grammy wins last Sunday, Melanie Fiona drops a new single for her forthcoming album “The MF Life“. This track originally premiered a year ago when Melanie performed it live on BET’s Rip The Runway. Then I posted video of her performing this on the Music Matters tour when it came here to Charlotte. So now we have the final, finished version of this AMAZING track called ‘Change The Record‘ and it features another favorite artist on Sound-Savvy – B.o.B.
In an exclusive interview with Melanie, she told Sound-Savvy that ‘Change The Record‘ was written by herself and songwriter Andrea Martin and is “not all about male bashing.”

Change The Record is set to appear on Melanie’s sophomore album “The MF Life” due to hit stores May 8. The song combines her soulful vocals with some hip-hop/rock elements and a monster verse from B.o.B. My verdict: SMASH! This is an awesome collab.
