Chillax… ain’t nothin changed. Waka Flocka is still wack, the only reason this was even listened to is because LowKey proclaimed Diddy’s greatness on this remix. And the only reason I posted is because I agree. Lyrically, it ain’t groundbreaking but Diddy’s a certified boss and he flexed his status on this remix a bit – his verse and Ross’ verse make this remix worth a listen. You can stop the track after that, at least I did… Read the rest of this entry »

Gucci Mane ft. Pharrell – Soldier
It’s no secret, I don’t like Gucci Mane. But this beat is undeniably a BANGER!! This just proves that a hot beat can make any rapper less wack. Pharrell blazes this joint! It’s set to appear on one of Gucci Mane’s numerous mixtapes of unreleased content. The beat blazes!! Ehhh, he may have actually made a song I don’t totally dislike… Read the rest of this entry »
Jagged Edge ft. Trina and Gucci Mane – Tip of My Tongue
Them boys of Jagged Edge are tryin it again, and this time they might actually be on to something. For a long while all their stuff was beginning to sound the same, but this joint is kinda hot. This leaked a few months back, so it’s not necessarily new, but it is the official first single from the new album, The Remedy, due out in 2010.

FAN Video: Trey Songz ft. Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy – LOL Smiley Face
With hundreds of video entries, Trey and his crew put together a composite fan video for his summertime smash LOL
and I found this to be a really nice dedication to his fans. I didn’t particularly care for this song at first but the beat and the hook grew on me, its sooooooo catchy. Apparently, I was not the only one. See anybody you know?
Gucci Mane – My Own Worst Enemy
New from Gucci. He addresses some things about T.I., Young Jeezy and Tiny (yes, that Tiny) on the Drumma Boy produced track, so listen closely. The State vs Radric Davis is due out December 8th. Shouts to Miss Info. On a side note, Gucci just got sentenced to 12 months for a parolle violation. So we got T.I, Lil’ Wayne & Gucci Mane all in jail this winter. With that said, you know we’ll be hearing from them alot this upcoming quarter.

Video: Omarion ft. Gucci Mane – I Get It In
I wasn’t really feelin the song too much, either version honestly. I just think Omarion sounds too much like Lil Wayne. And Gucci, well… moving on. The video is okay, but it’s not impressive either. Especially not now, when I Can Transform Ya is the hottest dance video out right now – not a good followup O. Anyway, I Get It In is the first single from his new album Ollusion. When he was here in the QC a few weeks ago, Omarion talked about his split from Young Money, stating that he wanted the opportunity to start his own label and have ownership over his music and other artists. So begins Starrworld Entertainment, and Ollusion will be the debut release on that imprint, available January 10.
Mariah Carey – H.A.T.E.U. REMIX
The queen of sampling famous lines is back at it y’all, this time snatching the hook from My Boo, a 90’s hit by the Ghosttown DJ’s (where are they now?) Along with the infamous line, Mariah continues to get more in touch with her southern swag, adding Gucci Mane, Big Boi & OJ Da Juiceman to the remix. Hmmm… some things are better left alone Mrs. Cannon…

Video: Gucci Mane ft. Usher – Spotlight
Gucci Mane premieres the first video for Spotlight, the first single from his debut album The State vs. Radric Davis. Some fly ladies in the video for sure, and it’s good to see Usher on the scene again. You probably already know how I feel about Gucci Mane, so there’s no need to go through that again…
