Kanye West drops a new gem, ‘Monster’ with some high-profile guests on board. recently announced via his Twitter account that he would begin GOOD Fridays: from now til Christmas, he will release one new song every Friday. Today he announced that he and Jay-Z will be releasing a joint album entitled Watch The Throne and will contain 5 songs. Monster is the second release from this upcoming project, following up the Power Remix. Everybody goes IN on this track, including the woman of many personalities: Nicki Minaj. I can’t help but wonder why Ross didn’t measure up though… he’s the only one that let me down on this. In this order: Ye, Nicki, Jay, Bon Iver, Ross.

Recently, Usher announced that he’d be releasing an EP entitled Versus, the final chapter to Raymond v. Raymond. To me, this is redemption and I feel like Versus will offer everything it’s predecessor did not. Like Hot Toddy, a blazin new track featuring Ester Dean and Jay-Z. Oh, and Jay? KILLS THE VERSE!! For those of you that don’t know, a Hot Toddy is drink that mixes alcohol (usually a Brandy) with tea and/or lemon juice; it’s heated up and served as a cold/flu remedy. Rick Ross and Jay-Z make an unmatched duo on this new joint Free Mason produced by The Inkredibles. Jay-Z uses his verse to address the Illuminati and devil-worshipping rumors of his haters. John Legend seals the track with his soulful vocal performance.  Quite simply, this track is a BANGER!!! Free Mason is set to appear on Ross’ Teflon Don album when it hits stores July 20. Jay and Em are busy promoting their upcoming shows in their respective hometowns of NYC and Detroit, taking some time to stop off at Letterman and perform some hits for the fans. In this first clip, the duo performs the smash Renegade from Jay’s original The Blueprint album. You can also check out Em performing his new single Not Afraid from the Recovery album, and Jay performs the Swizzy-produced On To The Next One from the Blueprint III. We’ve waited long enough and now (thanks to the NMC) we’ve got the new joint from Dre’s Detox album. Hey Dre, this the best you got?? As much as I’m trying to reserve my judgments on this track, especially since it sounds unfinished, I can only hope that when the final track gets released it has a different beat, more elements and… uh… Dre maybe you should just let Em ghostwrite this album for ya. From the sounds of Recovery he’s got his mojo back! Anyway, still no release date so don’t get your hopes up just yet. My opinion: I’VE HEARD BETTER, but remember this track sounds waaayyy unfinished!

Jay-Z was at this year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester Tennessee  and performed several hits spanning his career. In this clip, he performs the closing number from the Blueprint 3 album, Young Forever which features Mr. Hudson on the hook.
