This is officially one of the sexiest songs out this summer, and now Jeremih drops the video for his latest single I Like. The song just seemed to leak to the net and really caught on. Pretty nice shots in the video – you can’t go wrong on a boat with beautiful ladies… Jeremih’s working on his sophomore album, the followup to last year’s self-titled debut. Sound-Savvy Says: Way to sex up the end of summer, this is a hit.

If you watched the first season of “Family Business“, you probably heard snippets of ‘Celebration’ as Ray J. was recording it during the season. The final version includes a hot verse from Ludacris and, well… this whole song is NICE!! Ray J. sounds good on the vocals, it’s a party song and probably should’ve been released a bit earlier in the summer as it really strikes me as a summer party record. Hey Ladies, this one’s for you! Jeremih teams up with Luda on this new track I Like and in two short words… I LIKE!! It’s a very sexy type slow jam, and I’m totally diggin it. I wasn’t a fan of Jeremih’s debut album at ALL, save for Raindrops and Birthday Sex. But this new joint makes me wonder if the kid is on the come-up. He’s reportedly working on a sophomore album, and if this is an indication of what’s to come, I say keep em comin son! First album was trash, but there may be hope for his sophomore release…  HOT SONG!!!

Luda and Trey drop the new video for Sex Room, the latest single from Luda’s Battle of the Sexes album. Nice video, sexy women… it’s mostly all that I expected but still, I wonder… Certain questions popped into my head while watching this video, here they are:

1. I don’t care who the designer is… Trey, is that a turtleneck? Ol fake ninja-smock wearin’ ass…
2. Nerdy glasses are the trend, I get that. But in the jacuzzi Luda?

A few weeks ago, Sound-Savvy brought you EXCLUSIVE footage from behind-the-scenes of the music video for Ride It, Ciara’s new joint featuring Ludacris. Here’s the song in its entirety (and tagged, unfortunately). I think it’s decent, but it’s nothing new for Ciara. I hate to hate, but with this album she needs to move in a new direction, and she needs a new sound. She needs an UPGRADE or this album will be another mediocre project.

So the question’s been asked – WHERE ARE YOU CICI? Here’s your answer: Today, she’s ‘ridin’ the beat’ on the set of her video for Ride It, her new single featuring Ludacris! More photos of Cici in action on set are forthcoming but this joint sounds like a super SEXY summertime JAM!  Just from hearing the hook, I’m gonna take a stab in the dark and say Mr. Nash produced this joint. New song + new video can only mean one thing: NEW ALBUM from Ciara on the way… who’s excited?

Battle of the Sexes is album #7 for southern hip-hop star Ludacris who, for 10 years, has blessed the music industry with his quick wit, super dope punchlines and sexual innuendos. This latest offering brings Luda full circle, having run the gamut of content from witty to more serious subject matters, he’s back to the fun-loving artist we first met in 2000 on his first major single What’s Your Fantasy? Refreshing? We think so. CLASSIC? Maybe not…

Battle of the Sexes boasts an all-star line-up of features that plays into its gender-clashing concept. This album came roaring out of the gate with two strong singles, the platinum-selling How Low and it’s follow-up My Chick Bad, which is accompanied by an all-star female remix featuring Eve, Diamond, and Trina.  Newly signed DTP artist Lil Scrappy (or maybe it’s just Scrappy)  joins the lineup on the inebriation anthem Everybody Drunk, noted for its thumping bass line while former DTP artist Shawnna weighs in on one of my personal favorites I Do It All Night. Though I’m not too crazy about the hook, Flo-Rida actually steps up his lyrics alongside Luda on I Know You Got A Man. Monica lends her vocals to Can’t Live With You, the only track of its kind on this project, taking on a mature feel as it discusses relationship tension. As for the sex jams, you’ve got a few to choose from including the obvious Trey Songz-featured Sex Room, Ne-yo’s guest spot on Tell Me A Secret, and Feelin So Sexy. Oh, and you can relax: Gucci Mane is only on the hook for Party No Mo so the track isn’t a total fail.

Again, Luda offers an album with barely any totally bad tracks (Sexting Luda…. really?) On the flipside though, I can’t say that there are a lot of tracks I’d keep in rotation. The album does well for the moment, but beyond How Low, there aren’t many tracks I’d honestly come back to this album JUST to hear like I would with some of Luda’s previous albums – and therein lies the major downfall. Seven albums deep and  the cuts are still just enough to get by. here are more hot hooks than hot verses for sure but Battle of the Sexes is still a decent album and doesn’t disappoint, even if it doesn’t transcend.
