Luda hit the stage at the BET Hip Hop Awards to perform How Low, the latest single from his forthcoming duo album with Shawnna Battle of the Sexes. Once again, Ludacris proves that he’s one of the best rappers in the game, he needs to be in everybody’s top 5.

I don’t wanna be the one to start speculation, but Shawnna is reppin Nappy Boy pretty hard on this track, not to mention the fact that T-Pain introduces her as the newest member… *eyebrow raises* Last I checked, Shawnna was signed to Disturbin’ Tha Peace (Ludacris) and was working on a joint album with Luda (Battle of the Sexes), which has been delayed quite a bit, but Luda told me firsthand that the album was about 95% done and should be out soon. Did Shawnna jump ship? Anyway, check out this cut… T-Pain turns his auto-tune down a bit to fire some shots and go hard on the lyrics, Shawnna beasts as usual…

Back in December during a brief interview with Sound-Savvy, Ludacris broke word that he and Shawnna would be recording an album together, Battle of the Sexes. Since that news hit the streets, anticipation has been wild over this album. So for all my DTP and Luda fans (including myself), here’s the first single from that project, entitled Everybody Drunk. Ludacris brings his witty wordplay and punchlines over a chopped and screwed hook, and Shawnna holds it down as the first lady of Disturbin’ Tha Peace, holding her own quite well alongside Luda. After hearing this, I’m definitely ready for the whole project, including what I’m sure will be some hot bedroom bangers! Check for Battle of the Sexes this summer!
