Roscoe Dash gets it IN with T-Pain and Fabo (formerly of D4L) in the new video for My Own Step, the latest joint from the Step Up 3D soundtrack. Decent song, the dancing makes the video. I had a discussion about Roscoe Dash with someone last week – my thoughts are that he’s really riding this Soulja Boy-created wave of making catchy songs with dances attached. While I’m all in favor of Billionaire as a huge hit for the summer, this remix doesn’t light my fire. They screwed up the beat and neither T-Pain nor Gucci does anything particularly exciting with the song. Viva la original… let’s keep it simple. With his new album Lazarus in stores this week, Travie McCoy drops another new video. I didn’t expect to see a video for this song, although it is one of my favorite joints on the album. The Manual features T-Pain and singer/rapper Young Cash while the video takes place in a psych ward where patients take candy-looking medicine and wash it down with Nuvo. Aaaaannndddd here’s another continuation in this hip-hop obsession with girl-on-girl action. So ladies, if you’ve ever kissed a girl and liked it, T-Pain wants proof. Yes, right in front of his face. He actually yodels in auto-tune… I’ve officially heard it all. One thing I can say about T-Pain is that he usually does some pretty dope videos and this one is pretty nice. The song ain’t bad either (we all know what kind of tomfoolery he’s capable of…). Now that nappy chinstrap and goatee? That’s on some other shit altogether. T-Pain has really grown on me and I must admit Take Your Shirt Off is definitely one of his better joints. With guest appearances from Petey Pablo, George Clinton and Rick Ros, T-Pain parties it up collegiate style with frat boys and girls including most of the Black Greek Letter Organizations (Alphas, Deltas, Ques, Sigmas, etc.. Take Your Shirt Off is the official first single from T-Pain’s forthcoming album Revolver which should see release in March 2010.

A couple of snippets from T-Pain, not sure if the completed and final versions of these will be on his upcoming album Revolver or if these are just references. I’m feelin Crazy but Turn Me Up just sounds like a recycled and re-worked version of his song with Ciara Blowin Up from the Thr33 Ringz album. Check em out…
