Music Video: Kid Cudi - ft. Kanye West and Common - Make Her Say
I've been bangin' this song for a few months and now the mainstream is finally catching on. I'm not sure Kanye's director skills are strong enough to convey concept very well, but the split screen shots make this video less of a flop than Drake's Best I Ever Had. Besides, I like Cudi's "think outside the box" approach anyway. His debut album, Man On The Moon is set to hit stores August 25th, and features this single, along with Day N' Nite.
Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, and Common - Decision
"I made a decision despite all the things that we go through, I'm gonna take my time with you and be a friend you need..."
This song speaks volumes about the value of friendship... Shouts to Busta and his buddies on this, another cut from Back on My B.S. I think Busta's cleanin up his style and tryin to really come back in a major way. Speaking from a fan's perspective, his dark disposition in recent years and "gangsta" approach has kinda put me off and I've had little to no interest in him. Not to mention the fact that a close friend shared that he's not the most pleasant to be around, especially for an interview. I may have to cop this album though just to hear what's new. I give him props on this one... nice work Busta!
UNIVERSAL MIND CONTROL
Ahhh, what can I say about Common? Outside from him being one of the sexiest baldies around, he's a gifted lyricist. He has ways of bringing his audience to multiple eargasms. Universal Mind Control, the first single off his album Invincible Summer, slated for a November 11th release, is everything Common is known for. The video is very 2020ish; very futuristic. The beat is hypnotizing & with Pharrell's voice over, you find yourself getting lost; hence UNIVERSAL MIND CONTROL. Love the track, even more I heart COMMON!!!
