Sure the song's poppy enough, but I'm still not sold on Jay Sean. I do, however, like the vibe of this video. With all these high-powered guest appearances, it's obvious that Cash Money is throwing the machine behind him on his U.S. Debut All Or Nothing which is in stores now, but he comes across as just another pop singer to me: no sense of identity, individuality or personality in his music. New Music from Cash Money's European pop star. Do You is Jay Sean's weak attempt at a sexy song. The result? FAIL. I'm not feeling this joint from the Drake look-a-like, not one bit. For one thing, that autotune on his voice is STILL annoying, and then this song sounds like something that's been done too many times before. For the past few weeks, Jay Sean's Down has been in the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. He may be new to us in the US, but Jay Sean has been making hits in the UK for a few years now, and he's really heated up the British chart. For his US debut, he's signed to (wait for it) Cash Money Records and is preparing to release his first US album, All Or Nothing this November. The single is a nice collab, though I think it would be just as hot without labelmate Lil Wayne. Its very pop and sounds a bit boy band-ish, but that's what makes it a hit. Check it out...
